I do not like to hype things, but the Starfield 2 might turn out to be one of the highlights of the year. Comfort is excellent.įinally, a really good single-dynamic offering from Moondrop, something that caters well to those who like energy and density in the presentation. Moreover, Starfield 2's upper-treble changes noticeably with different tips (check measurements) so experimentation is encouraged.Īs for the other stuff: the stock cable and carrying case are very good, but stock tips are useless so get ready for alternative eartips. Tip-rolling will likely help in this regard. The only nitpick at the moment would be the upper-mid to lower-treble that can sound grating at times. Nice amount of mid-bass body without bleeding into lower mids. The bass is dense without being too boosted in sub region. Heck, these are the first Moondrop IEMs after Crescent that I truly enjoy. 5 years? I am not a fan of Moondrop's usual target and this is a noticeable departure from that. TL DR: Moondrop Starfield 2 are the best Moondrop single-dynamic IEMs in last. I received the Moondrop Starfield 2 today, so time for some first impressions.
